***** £500 per week during May*****

The cottage sleeps 6 comfortably with one King, one twin and two single bedrooms. The hallway, leads to the open plan farmhouse kitchen which is well equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and has plentiful storage.

The large lounge benefits from an open fire and leads to the sun lounge where you can sit and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Outside the large garden area is fully enclosed. Dogs must be supervised in this area due to local farming activity. The area offers an abundance of hill walking opportunities which include, Ben More, Ben Vorlich and Ben Lawers all close by.  The route 7 cycle path from Drymen to Pitlochry (89 miles) follows the road to Balquhidder. Local Lochs Voil and Earn and the River Balvaig offer excellent fishing; Permits can be bought at the local shop in Lochearnhead. Golf courses at St. Fillans, Comrie, Killin, Crieff and Callander are within 30 minutes drive. Gleneagles is easily reached within the hour. The Perthshire Green Card offers discounted green fees on 19 of the county’s courses. Balquhidder lies beneath the beautiful Braes of Balquhidder at the head of Loch Voil, with Loch Doine by its side.

Balquhidder is well known for being the final resting place of the rebel outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor. Rob Roy died in his home in 1734 and was buried at Balquhidder Kirk.

Balquhidder Glen extends to the west for approx. 11 miles from the main A84 just south of Lochearnhead. The property lies 1.5 miles from the A84 turning towards Balquhidder. The village is particularly popular with walkers and those interested in nature with an abundance of beautiful flora and fauna including red squirrels, deer, otters, osprey and wild orchids.
