A major visitor attraction in the area, the Scottish Wool Centre has many activities that visitors can enjoy. You can try your hand at spinning wool into yarn, find out more about Scottish Wool or buy some warm woollies to take back home with you.
You can also see 'The Gathering', the three times daily dog and duck show, where a shepherd will give you a history of Scottish sheep and work his dog 'on hand' with ducks. This can be seen at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm during April to Sept.
You can then enjoy wandering around the outside paddocks where there are rare breeds of sheep and goats as well as Calamity and Merlin the miniature horses.
There is a birds of prey area for those with an interest in birds and fan tailed doves in the dovecot. The pond area has various breeds of hens for you to see or to buy!
For more active visitors there is crazy golf or youngsters can enjoy kid’s park, next to the beer garden. In the Ben Lomond Restaurant you will find traditional home baking, mouth watering Scottish dishes, traybakes and cakes – including the Wool Centre’s famous and refreshing speciality coffee.
Then there is the large retail area. This has something for everyone, from cashmere, Harris Tweed, country and casual wear plus many gifts to take home including a large range of whisky in the food and whisky hall.
