There are to be 13 art installations installed across the area and the Loch Earn Tourist Information (LETi) has linked together these installations for the BLiSS Trail to celebrate Visit Scotland tourism Year Of Innovation Architecture and Design.
The trail will include works of art by a number of artists including Rob Mulholland, Kevin Paxton, Heather Gray, June McEwan, Iain Chalmers, Lynne Shroder, Jerry Cunningham and architects Ruairidh Moir, Daniel Taylor and Angus Richie.
Bill the life sized multi-coloured bull (shown above) will be located outside the Lochearnhead Hotel while other installations will be seen beside Loch Lubnaig, The Broch Cafe and recreation area at Strathyre, Airlie House B&B, Balquhidder Village Hall, Monachyle Mhor, The Golden Larches, Mansewood Country House, Lochside Lodges garden on Loch Earn, The Four Seasons and the Achray Hotels at St Fillans.
A number of ornamental features will also be mapped along the route including an elephant, lions,stag, signposts, cow and red phone box.
The official launch will take place at he Broch Cafe, Strathyre when full details of the trail will be announced and we will bring you more news as it published.
