A sensational setting, sizzling music and five of Scotland’s top chefs: all signs that Mhor Festival is just around the corner.
Put together by the Lewis family, who run award-winning Monachyle Mhor and the brand new Mhor 84, it’s not surprising that food is at the heart of the festival. Headlining on Saturday 24th May, The Big Scottish Feast (£60pp) in the big Dutch barn, challenging five famous chefs to cook a course each, giving festival-goers a unique opportunity to sit down to an epic meal.
This is a family-friendly festival with children’s activities, mini Commonwealth Games: traditional fairground stalls like a coconut shy and beat the goalie, children’s entertainment with Magwitch Monsters and even pot planting in the gardens.
The festival’s spectacular setting on the shores of Loch Voil are ideal for enjoying the great outdoors but in the event of bad weather, the festival will move under cover to two large Dutch barns.
Cooper Cottages have self catering holiday cottages in Balquhidder for visitors to the festival.
