The festival this year runs from 7th to 14th October and features a total of 33 walks. For 2017 the Tryst programme has many new walks as well as a selection of ever popular favourites and provides a varied programme of guided walks ranging from easy low level routes to challenging mountain ascents. All the walks are enriched by stunning scenery, wildlife, plants, trees, history and the company of like-minded people.
The festival also features mountain bike racing and evening entertainment including music, cinema and drama.
For full details of the programme and booking your place on the walks you choose, visit the website at www.droverstryst.com.
Joining one, or more, of the guided walks while staying here in central Scotland in one of our self-catering holiday cottages would provide a great family day out and a chance to experience some of the history behind the cattle driving people of the 1700s. If you are planning a holiday here in early October why not consider joining the festival activities.
