There are a lot of both exotic and farm animals for visitors to meet including, Racoons, Genet, Skunk, Wildcats, Meerkat, Potoroo, Marmosets, Alpacas, Lemurs, Polecat, Albino Wallabies and many more. There are also a number of species of birds including, Ural Owls, Pheasant, Reeves Pheasant, Himalayan Monia Powter Pigeons, Call Ducks, as well as Ducks and Geese at the park.
As well as all of the animals there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy all day at Auchingarrich. From indoor play barns to mini golf you will never want to leave! Here are some of the things you can look forward to doing at Auchingarrich, come rain or shine!
Across the day there are a number of feedings going on across the park where you can watch and sometimes help feed some of the animals! These differ day on day but please ask any member of staff for details!
Indoor play barn
Auchingarrich has a recently built indoor soft play barn suitable for ages 5 to 11. This is open all year round and is a great place for mums and dads to enjoy their coffee on the benches whilst the little ones have a ball! There is also table tennis, football table, shooting cannons, and football sports area.
The nine-hole adventure mini golf is more difficult than it looks!
A must is a visit to the unique hatchery where the children (and mums and dads as well) can handle small chicks, rabbits and guinea pigs. If you are lucky and you keep an eye on the glass topped incubator then you may just see a chick peck its way out of the shell.
Clover the Park's milking cow has just arrived all the way from the field! If you have ever wanted to try your hand at milking then Clover would be happy to help.
Come and pedal the tractors around the farmyard circuit!
Indoor soft play barn
At Auchingarrich there are two play barns with picnic tables. The soft play for is for younger children; babies and children up to 7 years can come here and enjoy the soft play area and ride on cars!
In the warmer months the park offers pony rides. Please check in advance to avoid disappointment but weather permitting there are 3 ponies waiting to say hello!
Pine Lodge Coffee Shop
The Pine Lodge Coffee shop offers a range of refreshments to suit all tastes.
If after walking around Auchingarrich for an hour or two and seeing all the animals is not enough exercise for you, then you can take the track past the otters, red deer, ponds, fallow deer and peccary to the top of the viewpoint for a spectacular view down over Comrie and the Southern Highlands.
There are several outdoor play areas at Auchingarrich! There are bats and balls so that you can enjoy a spot of Badminton or football. There are also have balance logs, climbing frames and a small climbing wall for all you adventurers!
The new Park Ark is at the heart of Auchingarrich, here you will find plenty of animals to see and meet.
There is a large play area with a flying fox, giant net swing, seesaw sandpit and climbing frames. There are also rabbit warrens tunnels, which are an old favourite with all the family!
Auchingarrich Fly Fishing Ponds
Bait and Fly fishing ponds stocked with rainbow trout open daily. Tackle Hire is available at Shop.
Torlum Garden & Gifts
Torlum Garden and Gifts are up the hill from the car park, opposite the highland cattle where you will find a range of gifts for Children and Adults and is open 7 days between June to October 11am till 5pm. Gifts for all Occasions, Birthdays, Weddings, Home and Garden. There is a lovely garden with a good selection of planters, Shrubs and bedding plants and hanging baskets or planters can be made to order.
