SEA LIFE takes its visitors on a fascinating tour of freshwater and marine life, inspiring and educating the next generation to love and conserve our planet’s aquatic creatures. The international network of Aquariums and Sanctuaries relies on an expert staff of outgoing guides, meticulous curators, dedicated management executives and passionate marine experts to make visiting SEA LIFE the wonderful family day out that it is.
The Loch Lomond Sealife Aquarium is located on the shores of Loch Lomond at Balloch beside the Loch Lomond Shores shopping and leisure complex and is open seven days a week (except Christmas Day) from 10.00 am until 5.00 pm.
At The sea life aquarium you will experience a number of different zones where you can see
Lochs of Scotland
Explore the Lochs of Scotland and see some of the amazing creatures that can be found in our native waters. Look out for our rare albino dogfish
Meet the three otters Lily Pickle and Cub
The Deep Loch Tank opened in March 2016 as part of extensive renovations and is home to native species of shark and rays that can be found in UK waters.
SEA LIFE Loch Lomond was the first Aquarium in Scotland to successfully rear Big Bellied Seahorses to adulthood!
Rocky shores have a particular life of their own and conditions within them are different from the open sea. Have you ever wanted to stroke a starfish? Now’s your chance, at the Rockpools!
Bay of Rays
Visit the Bay of Rays and meet the only Cow Nose Rays in Scotland!
Tropical Ocean Tunnel
Don't miss Cammy, the only giant Green Sea Turtle in Scotland, who lives in the Tropical Ocean Tunnel. She shares her tank with some of the largest collection of Shark species in Scotland...but she's definitely in charge! Find out all about her naughty (and greedy!) antics at one of her twice daily feeding sessions. Or why not upgrade your visit to a VIP Turtle Feeding session for just £40 and meet her in person?
This is just a sample of what you can see at the Sealife Aquarium and for mor details on events, prices and other attractions visit the website at https://www.visitsealife.com/loch-lomond/
Loch Lomond is within easy travelling distance from any of our self-catering holiday cottages and a visit while you are staying here in the area would provide a great family day out.
